ASHLEY LODREE' BIO
Ashley Lodree was Born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Northern California in the Bay Area. She is a retired professional track and field athlete and Alumni of the University of Washington with a degree in Sociology. Upon receiving an athletic scholarship to UW Ashley proved early that her abilities would take her far on and off the track. She received accolades such as MVP, Pac-10 Athlete of the week, 6-time All-American as well as holding multiple records under the UW track and field sprints and hurdles program. She was also ranked within the Top 10 nationally in the NCAA among collegiate athletes and on the professional level within the top 10 in the world in her event she specialized in at the time which was the 60 meter hurdles. After graduating, Ashley went on to train professionally and pursue her lifelong dream as a kid to one day compete in the Olympics. Falling short just by a few spots Ashley missed making the 2008 Olympic team. And with nagging reoccurring injuries, it made it difficult to train at the level of intensity it took to compete on a world class stage. So Ashley pursued her passion and first true love, Fashion...
Though being an athlete all her life since the age of 6 Ashley always had a love for fashion at a young age. From reading fashion magazines, studying fashion visual concepts and learning from true icons in the fashion world to making her own custom pieces, Ashley knew she wanted to be a force in the fashion world but most importantly have a voice in the fashion industry. Self taught, her introduction to fashion came from being inspired by everything around her. In high school she would sketch prom dresses for friends and make custom jeans which she sold. Fashion has always been an Art form for her and an outlet of self expression. Fashion tells a story about who we are. Without that, we have nothing.
Upon entering the Los Angeles fashion scene Ashley began styling for video shoots, photo shoots, red carpets and producing/coordinating fashion show events, for lines such as Pink Dice (which she was a brand ambassador for), Von Leuchtenberg, Dahlia, Ed Hardy Accessories, True Religion, Tavik Swimwear and Rowdy to name a few. Ashley is currently doing freelance wardrobe styling, personal shopping, editorial creative direction and designing her new line of custom jewelry. The line is called Lodree’ and it will feature unique custom pieces for a wide range of women. If you are the everyday woman, have a classic style or a more bold risqué style there will be something for everyone. Lodree’ Jewelry is Coming soon…
Ashley currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
